In addition to leading expeditions and conducting research I also work as a project leader at Naturföretaget, a Swedish wildlife conservation agency. In this role, I provide guidance and support to landowners and companies during the early planning stages of large infrastructure projects. Our focus is on providing practical and responsive solutions to ensure that the impact of these projects remains net-neutral, or even beneficial on local ecosystems.
Specifically, we conduct wildlife surveys and assess the current ecological values of the subject site areas, as well as the potential environmental effects of infrastructure projects. Based on our findings, we make recommendations to avoid and mitigate any adverse effects on the local ecosystem, and suggest practical conservation actions. Additionally, we work with companies to promote a more environmentally sustainable policy.
