THE AMAZON
My initial venture into the Amazon took place in 2010. Over the course of a year, I embarked on a journey that led me through Guyana, to the summit of Mt. Roraima in Southern Venezuela, along the Amazon River by boat, and eventually to Bolivia. There, I contributed to the establishment of the Serranía Sadiri Ecolodge located in the Amazon foothills of the Andes.
The Amazon rainforest is a challenging environment to live and work in due to its hot, humid, and often wet conditions. On the other hand, the beauty and diversity of species of this forest to draw me back to this remarkable region time after time. This gallery provides a glimpse of the experiences I've encountered this far.
